General Disclaimer
What the work on this site is, what it is not, and how to read it honestly.
Read this before drawing conclusions. Coherence Energy Labs™ builds software and applied systems, some shipping, some in development. Claims here are presented openly so they can be examined and tested. Where a result is measured we say so; where the work is still open, or a product is not yet released, we say that too. Nothing here is professional advice.
1. Some of this is engineering in progress
Parts of the stack ship and run in production; other parts are in active development and are labeled as such on their pages. Descriptions of in-progress work are shared for transparency, not as guarantees of a finished product. Where something is early, we say so rather than imply it is done.
2. Measured claims, with honest boundaries
Applied claims on this site are scored against named baselines, and we report the result honestly, including when a method ties or loses. Coherence energy is presented as a measure, an objective, and a decision layer that helps where coherence is a genuine signal, not as a universal method that wins on every problem. Read the numbers as measured results with stated boundaries, not as universal guarantees.
3. Evidence is provided for scrutiny
Where we present numbers, figures, datasets, or computed results, they are offered so that others can check them. Figures may be computed at build time using our own software. Results can change as methods improve, errors are found, or new data arrives. We treat correction as part of the process, not a failure of it.
4. No professional advice
Nothing on this site is medical, health, psychological, financial, investment, legal, or other professional advice, and nothing here should be acted on as such. Content that touches biology, the body, the mind, society, or the economy is theoretical and exploratory. Do not use it to make medical, financial, or other consequential decisions. Consult a qualified professional for those.
5. Forward-looking statements
Some content describes systems, software, and applications that are in development or planned, including A.C.E. and applied programs. Descriptions of design goals and intended capabilities are not guarantees that a product exists, works as described, or will be released. Where a program is pre-demo, we say so on its page.
6. External data and third-party work
Some results use public datasets, open-source software, and third-party work, which are credited where used. Those sources remain the work of their authors and are subject to their own terms; their inclusion here does not imply their authors endorse our software or conclusions.
7. No warranty and no liability
All content is provided "as is" for informational purposes, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Lab and Josh Philbrick are not liable for any decision made or action taken in reliance on this content. Your use of it is at your own risk, as further described in our Terms of Use.
8. Contact and corrections
If you believe a claim on this site is wrong, unsupported, or overstated, tell us: contact@coherenceenergylabs.com. We would rather fix it than defend it.
