Privacy Policy
Your data stays yours. This site is built to collect as close to nothing as a website can.
The short version. Coherence Energy Labs™ sets no cookies and uses no trackers, fingerprinting, advertising networks, or client-side tracking scripts. The site ships no executable JavaScript. We use only Cloudflare's privacy-preserving, cookieless web analytics, which reports aggregate traffic (such as page views, referrers, and country) and builds no profile of you. We do not sell data or share anything with advertisers.
1. Who we are
This policy applies to the website at coherenceenergylabs.com, operated by Coherence Energy Labs™ ("we," "us," the "Lab"). For any privacy question, contact josh@coherenceenergylabs.com.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, accounts, precise locations, device identifiers, or individual behavioral profiles through this website. There is no advertising network, no social-media pixel, no session recording, and no fingerprinting script. Because the site ships no executable JavaScript, no client-side tracking code runs in your browser. The only <script> tags present are declarative JSON blocks (structured metadata and prefetch hints) that browsers read as data, not code.
3. Analytics
We use Cloudflare's aggregate, server-side traffic analytics to understand overall usage, such as how many people visit, which pages are popular, and roughly where visitors come from. It is derived from standard request data at Cloudflare's edge: it runs no client-side script, sets no cookies, performs no fingerprinting, does not track you across sites, and builds no profile of you. The metrics are aggregate and cannot identify you.
4. Information processed automatically
Like any website, requests reach a server before a page is returned. This site is served by a Cloudflare Worker, and Cloudflare processes standard technical information in transit (for example, your IP address and request headers) to deliver content, provide security, and prevent abuse, under its own privacy practices; see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
5. Cookies
This website sets no cookies and uses no local storage for tracking. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary operational cookies for security as part of its service. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking, and the site does not condition access on a consent banner.
6. Email and correspondence
If you email the Lab, we receive your message, your email address, and anything you include. We use it only to respond to you and keep a reasonable record of the correspondence. Lab email is operated through Google Workspace; see Google's Privacy Policy. Please do not send sensitive personal information by email.
7. Third parties and external links
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for their own purposes. The site links out to external destinations (for example, public code repositories and scientific data sources). Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control; this policy covers only coherenceenergylabs.com.
8. Data security
The site is static and served over HTTPS with a strict content-security policy, HSTS, and frame protection. Because we hold essentially no personal data, the surface for a privacy breach is intentionally minimal. No method of transmission over the internet is ever perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general and professional audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act). Because we hold almost no personal data beyond email you send us, honoring these requests is usually straightforward. To exercise any right, email josh@coherenceenergylabs.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. We do not sell personal information.
11. International visitors
The Lab operates from the United States, and content delivery and email may be processed in the United States and other countries through our providers. By using the site you understand that limited technical data may be processed outside your home country.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or applicable law evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date below. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
